Application Process
Applications will be reviewed by a task force with broad representation from the APGO Board, APGO Executive Committee, APGO Diversity & Inclusion Committee Chair Michael Moxley, MD and other APGO leaders.
Application Requirements
A candidate must be an APGO member in good standing to apply and serve on the committee. Compositional diversity is imperative and many skills, attributes and perspectives, combined with experience and interest in equity in education and patient care will be evaluated in the development of this committee.
Applications must include all of the following elements to be considered complete and eligible for review. Combine all documents into one PDF before submitting.
- Letter of intent (2-page maximum) addressed to Michael Moxley, MD that describes the reason for applying and anticipated contributions as a committee member
- Current curriculum vitae
- Letter of support from applicant’s department chair
- Completed electronic application form
Timeline
- Application timeline: June 25-July 25
- Selected members notified: Early August
- Term officially begins: Immediately
