Objective/ Background: The climate crisis is shown to have impacts on fertility, maternal and fetal health, and obstetrical outcomes. These health impacts are not currently included in many undergraduate medical curricula. To address this, we have developed a highly interactive session for educators composed of didactic learning and case studies, with the goal of replication in a classroom environment.
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Understand major effects of climate change on female reproduction
2. Lead case-based learning sessions for students
3. Reflect and act on the contribution of their own practice to the climate crisis
Methods: Literature search and case development.
Results: N/A
Conclusion/ Discussion: 75-minute interactive workshop consisting of self-assessment, didactic teaching, small group case discussion and large group debrief. A toolkit of cases, references and additional resources will be provided to attendees.
