Workshop Text: Are you interested in standardizing your preclinical curriculum? Looking to revamp a
lecture or small group exercise? Do you have a great lecture or small group exercise you would like to
share? The APGO Medical Education Objectives define a central body of womens health knowledge for
medical students. Increasingly more medical schools have a reproductive or womens health course in
the preclinical years, yet the majority of our APGO resources focus on the M3 and M4 student. The
Objectives videos and teaching cases provide resources for curriculum development, teaching and
learning that can also be adapted and used for the preclinical learner. This working group workshop will
provide a platform for preclinical educators to discuss best practices for incorporating the APGO Medical
Education learning objectives, videos and teaching cases into their curriculum as well as a forum to
share their best large and small group exercises. The workshop will explore both traditional and
innovative teaching techniques to help engage our preclinical students. Attendees will contribute to a
shared repository with examples of great lectures, small group exercises, and test questions. At the
conclusion of the workshop all attendees will have access to shared materials. The workshop will
involve: Overview of best practices for preclinical education, Group sharing and critique of curriculum
materials shared, Discussion of new ideas and curriculum innovations, Development of shared
repository for curriculum resources
