Objective/ Background: Though growth mindset has become a popular concept in medical education literature, little has been discussed in regard to the particulars of its implementation. In this session, participants will learn practical skills for creating a growth mindset oriented culture that helps learners feel safe to struggle, thus allowing them to learn complex skills and concepts in a deeper, more robust, and more lasting way, with the goal of supporting each learner to become the best version of themselves.

Conclusion/ Discussion: A growth mindset oriented culture contributes to learner safety as well as effective growth and development of each individual. Psychological safety and robust support of learner development are critical components to creating an equitable workplace where all learners can reach their maximum potential.
