JOIN THE NEW APGO ALUMNI SOCIETY
Have you joined the new APGO Alumni Society yet? We have created this society to keep APGO leaders and Scholar graduates connected with other alumni through newsletters and other special events like the annual Alumni Bash held at the CREOG & APGO Annual Meeting.

By staying connected you will further your life-long friendships, advance the careers of APGO members and help shape what the Alumni Society can become through the soon-to-be created Alumni Society leadership. These leaders will work together with the APGO leadership and staff to plan events and build an active and engaged community!

Plan to join us at the APGO Alumni Bash at the Vintage Rock Club on Thursday, February 28, during the CREOG & APGO Annual Meeting. Join the Alumni Society now for discounted tickets to the event!

Visit the APGO website to learn more about the Alumni Society.

REGISTER NOW
Registration is open for the 2019 APGO Martin L. Stone, MD, Faculty Development Seminar. This year’s meeting, January 6-9, at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa in Lahaina, Hawaii, boasts a program that’s packed full of professional development and networking opportunities designed to energize medical educators!

Don’t forget about the additional events taking place during the meeting, including Clerkship Directors’ School, the Welcome Reception, Lunchtime Learning Session and the Comedy Show fundraiser. Visit the APGO website to learn more and register now. See you in Hawaii!

Join your fellow clerkship directors and APGO leaders for the 2019 APGO Clerkship Directors’ School on January 6, 2019 from 6:45 AM 2:00 PM.

Although Clerkship Directors’ School Parts 101 & 201 is designed with the basics in mind, clerkship directors of all levels of experience, as well as those considering becoming a clerkship director, will benefit from these interactive sessions. You will take home knowledge on the newest LCME requirements impacting the ob-gyn clerkship and solutions to common challenges encountered in the clerkship.

In addition to large group discussions of high-yield topics, small group discussions will foster more personalized advice and serve as an exciting venue to network and share ideas with other educators.
Special focus topics include:

  • Using APGO Resources in Your Clerkship
  • Evaluating Clerkship Quality and Efficacy
  • Student Professionalism and Remediation
  • Enticing Faculty Participation in the Clerkship

The program also includes the interactive Innovation Station session to introduce participants to low-fidelity simulations, aids and handy tools that can be implemented in the clerkship. It is a fast-paced and fun learning environment, and well worth attending. This school is held prior to the APGO Faculty Development Seminar and requires separate registration. Sign up today!
