Submit an Abstract
CREOG & APGO are now accepting abstract and film submissions for the 2020 CREOG & APGO Annual Meeting.

Medical students, residents, fellows and faculty may submit for one of the following categories:

  • Paint with All the Colors: Gender Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
  • Just Want to Have Fun: Strategies for Well-Being
  • Roller Coaster Adventures: Feedback and Evaluation
  • As if By Magic: Innovations in Curriculum and Design Thinking
  • Just Say Yes: Gaining Commitment (Faculty/Learner Buy-In/Leadership)

APGO LAUNCHES NEW RESOURCE: INDUCTION OF LABOR MOBILE APP  
APGO is pleased to announce the launch of a new mobile app! Developed by APGO and funded in part by an unrestricted educational grant from Ferring Pharmaceuticals, the Induction of Labor app is a tool to help ob-gyn learners as they consider if and when to induce labor in their patients. All health and health-related information contained within the WellMom App is designed to be general in nature and based on published guidelines.

The app is available for free download on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. Learn more about the app on the APGO website and download it today!


UPCOMING APGO DEADLINES 
APGO Medical Education Endowment Fund Grant Program
Submit a proposal for the 2019 APGO Medical Education Endowment Fund Grant Program. Up to two projects will be eligible for funding of $15,000 – $30,000, depending on the scope of the project and the number of grants awarded. This year’s project goal is to promote and document feasibility of multi-institutional educational research and scholarship in in the of the following areas: Curriculum Innovation and Cultivation of a Positive Learning Environment.

APGO is seeking applicants for five positions on the APGO Board of Directors, including President-Elect, Secretary/Treasurer-Elect and three Board members. Help determine the future direction of the organization. Submit an application today.

APGO ADDS NEW EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS
Objective #56: Sexuality and Modes of Sexual Expression
APGO has added two new videos to the Medical Student Educational Objectives library: Counseling Patients about Sexuality and Assessment and Treatment for Female Sexual Dysfunction. These videos are designed to help teach how to start, continue and follow up on conversations about sexual health and sexual health history. The project, developed by APGO faculty, was supported in part by an unrestricted educational grant by APGO Corporate Liaison Council member, AMAG Pharmaceuticals.

Development Committee (Deadline Extended!)
Congratulations to Laura Tatpati, MD, of University of Kansas Wichita, who won the APGO Swag Basket Raffle for completingAPGO’s Annual Clerkship Director Survey!

Doctor Tatpati sent APGO this picture with the following caption: “Thank you for the swag basket! I’ll be giving buttons and other swag to the fourth years going into ob-gyn this year. Of course, I’ve already used one of the Thumbdrive bracelets for a talk for myself because those are always handy!”
