RENEW YOUR APGO MEMBERSHIP
It’s not too late to renew your individual membership for 2018–2019! APGO’s member year is July 1–June 30, and costs $325.

Please renew your membership/subscription through your Member Portal page. To access the member portal page, visit www.apgo.org and click LOG IN/MY APGO on the top menu. If the system does not remember you, it will ask for your Username and Password. Your username is the email address that is in our database (where you received this email). If you do not remember your password, click Forgot Password and a reset password email will be sent to you.

To renew your membership, click the SUBSCRIPTION tab on the left side of the page.

You can pay by check or credit card. If paying by check, go through the Check Out process and select PAYING BY CHECK. You will be required to enter a Customer Reference Number. Please enter a 4 digit number for your reference, and Complete Transaction. You can print the INVOICE and submit it to accounting. Please ask that accounting send this INVOICE along with the payment. If paying by credit card, APGO accepts VISA or MasterCard.

Please consider making an additional donation to help APGO reach its goal for the Academic Scholars and Leaders Frank T. Stritter, PhD, Endowed Faculty Fund. This fund will ensure the involvement of highly qualified professional educators and sustain the scholastic excellence of the program.

JOIN THE APGO ALUMNI SOCIETY
The APGO Alumni Society was created to connect, support and foster lifelong relationships amongst graduates of the APGO Academic Scholars and Leaders Program, the APGO Surgical Education Scholars Program, its precursor programs, Introductions to Hysteroscopy and Electrosurgery, as well as “alumni” volunteer leaders of the APGO Board of Directors, Development Committee, Undergraduate Medical Education Committee, Testing and Technology Committees and Diversity Committee. The APGO Alumni Society inaugural membership year (2018–2019) will coincide with the culmination of the APGO ASL 20th Aniversary Campaign. APGO’s vision for the Society is to keep alumni connected with other alumni and APGO staff through special events, newsletters and recognition at APGO conferences.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Have you submitted an abstract for the 2019 CREOG & APGO Annual Meeting? Medical students, residents, fellows and/or faculty may submit an abstract in any of the following categories:

  • Throw Me Some Beads: feedback, advocacy
  • Meet You by the Bayou: Interprofessional collaboration, diversity and inclusion, learning environment
  • Joie de Vivre (Joy of Life): rejuvenating teachers, well-being
  • Let’s Get Jazzy: innovation of curriculum
  • The Saints Go Marching In: difficult learners, faculty development

Deadline: July 30, 2018

APGO Endometriosis and Uterine Fibroids Education Awards
Up to two awards of $1,000 each will be given to medical students, ob-gyn residents, fellows or faculty for the best oral or poster abstracts accepted to the 2019 CREOG & APGO Annual Meeting focusing on Student Educational Techniques Surrounding the Diagnosis and Management of Endometriosis and Uterine Fibroids. Award for Programs of Exxcellence
Sponsored by the Foundation for Exxcellence in Women’s Health Care, this is be a one-time award of $500 to an ob-gyn medical student, resident, fellow or faculty for the best oral or poster abstract accepted to the 2019 CREOG & APGO Annual Meeting using of one of the Foundation programs, books or courses. UPDATED SELF ASSESSMENT QUESTIONS
Preparation for Residency Knowledge Assessment Tool (PrepforRes)
PrepforRes is an interactive, web-based examination to measure the didactic knowledge of incoming ob-gyn interns based on the ACGME level 1 Milestones. Institutions have also been using this tool for their boot camp/residency preparation. The exam is available to medical schools and residency programs through an annual subscription to the APGO uWISE program. This exam is also available as a stand-alone subscription for schools who do not already subscribe to APGO uWISE. All questions were updated in April. Learn more.

Undergraduate Web-Based Interactive Self-Evaluation (uWISE)
uWISE is an approximately 600-question interactive self-exam designed to help medical students acquire the necessary basic knowledge in obstetrics and gynecology, regardless of future medical specialty choice. This resource is available to institutions with a subscriptions, and individual student subscriptions may also be purchased. Half of the test bank questions are updated annually. Learn more.
