Bringing basic science to the women\\\'s health bedside

Round Table Text:
The roundtable will focus on implementing strategies to incorporate basic sciences into the
medical student clinical experience. Medical schools are transitioning to competency-based
curricula that emphasize an early introduction to clinical training. This presents a challenge, as it
typically condenses the traditional classroom basic sciences. The goal is to design innovative
curriculum to integrate basic scientific knowledge into a longitudinal curriculum. Participants
will discuss techniques to increase the presence of the reproductive sciences in the clinical
years, including use of basic science teaching scripts, as well as the development of senior
electives.
