2027 FDS Abstract Workshop Submission Form
Abstracts will be screened initially to ensure that they have been submitted as directed and that at least one (1) author on each workshop presentation team is an APGO individual member. Authors who submit more than the maximum of three (3) abstracts (of any type and in any authorship byline) will be contacted and asked to remove themselves as authors or withdraw the additional submission(s). The selection committee will only review and rank submissions that pass the initial screening.
No identifying features such as names of authors, hospitals, medical schools, clinics, or cities may be listed in the title or abstract text, or précis.
The submission deadline is June 1, 2026.

Abstracts submitted for this sub-theme should focus on bread-and-butter medical education topics, the building blocks, the scaffolding of UME, and the development of faculty/resident teachers to thrive in all their roles as educators, mentors, advisors, coaches, team leaders, etc.
Curricular Innovations and Improvement:
Abstracts submitted for this sub-theme should focus on out-of-the-box, creative, innovative, transformative approaches to UME in any area. Examples include, but are not limited to, faculty development, curricular change, UME-GME transition, assessment tools, etc.
Opportunities and Challenges:
Abstracts submitted for this sub-theme should focus on approaches to cultivating a positive learning environment by proposing solutions for difficult UME challenges. Examples include innovative approaches to difficult feedback, grading disputes, mistreatment, and discrimination, etc.
